Cancellation, rescheduling, and refunds

If we cancel an entire course, we will refund the full course fee.

If you withdraw from a course at least 30 days before the first class, we will refund the full course fee less your deposit. If you otherwise withdraw before the first class, we will refund 80% of the full course fee. No refund will be provided once a course begins.

When the Newton schools close for weather, class on that day will be cancelled and rescheduled later in the year. No refund will be provided for a rescheduled class.

Unfortunately, the building is not wheelchair-accessible.

Grievances

We wish to ensure fair treatment of all participants. If you have a grievance, please submit it in writing. Eric Albert will evaluate the complaint, and, if it is meritorious, will implement any necessary changes in the course. If you are dissatisfied with the results, Eric Albert will consult with another licensed mental health provider of his choosing for a second opinion.

Recording Classes

You may audio-record any class meeting so long as this recording is solely for your own private use. If you know you will be missing a class, ask a classmate to record it for you. For the purposes of Continuing Education credit hours, listening to a recording of a class will be considered the equivalent of attending that class. This is particularly important for social workers, who are required to attend 100% of the classes to qualify for Continuing Education credit hours.

Confidentiality

At times, class members may reveal personal information about themselves and/or their clients in a class. You agree to keep all such information strictly confidential. You agree never to share a class recording with someone who is not a class member. You agree to delete any class recording as soon as you no longer need it.

Continuing Education credit hours

Continuing Education certificates will be given out at the end of a course. To receive your certificate, you must have completed the course evaluation form and paid the course fee. Other helping professionals are welcome to attend our events. If we do not provide continuing education for your discipline, you may request a certificate of attendance.
